Between checking up on our SoDak Stays properties located throughout the city, Target runs, and appointments, I often find myself with random gaps of time in between running to the next thing on my agenda for the day.
Depending on where I’m at in Sioux Falls, it can be a waste of time and gas to drive back to my house before leaving again. Instead, I usually like to find somewhere in the city I can work from for an hour or two — answering emails, making some calls, and catching up on my to-do list.
Since I’m often here, there, and everywhere, I came up with a list of my favorite remote work options in Sioux Falls:
Siouxland Libraries
Don’t sleep on our local libraries! With five branches in Sioux Falls (and more in neighboring communities) Siouxland Libraries is a great, FREE option no matter where you’re at in the city.
With multiple desks, couches, and meeting rooms available, setting up my work area in the library always makes me more productive.
Startup Sioux Falls
If you’re looking for a community that fully embraces remote workers and entrepreneurs, Startup Sioux Falls is the place to be.
Located in their newly remodeled downtown building, Startup Sioux Falls offers community connection, practical amenities, and exclusive opportunities with the purchase of a membership. And if you want to try it out, they offer free day passes when you request one on their website.
Downtown Coffee Shops
For those who love a good cup of coffee and perhaps a sweet treat while you work, there are an abundance of coffee shops around town that make a great remote work setup.
My personal favorite coffee shops to work from are La Luna Cafe and Coffea downtown. These two shops usually have a quiet corner available and both make terrific lattes to fuel my workday.
Find dedicated work spaces at SoDak Stays properties
People stay at our properties for different reasons, but we know that offering a dedicated work space is appealing for guests who may be traveling for business or for those who need a quiet space to recharge away from other guests.
You’ll know which properties offer desks/offices by seeing a full gallery of photos for each property on our website. Plus, when you book direct you’ll always save 10% compared to booking on sites like Airbnb.
Do you have a favorite remote work setup in Sioux Falls that we don’t know about? Tell us about it! We’d love to try it out. 😄
